Problem of Environmental Degradation

I want to talk about the problem of environmental

pollution that exists around us and all around the world. Environmental pollution is contamination of

air, water and land from man-made waste. Besides that, I will also focus on noise pollution, depletion

of ozone layer, global warming and climate change. Air pollution is the release of chemicals and

particles into the atmosphere. Water pollution includes surface runoff, leakage into groundwater,

liquid spills, wastewater discharge and littering.

The most important solution to the problem of environmental pollution will be to increase the

awareness in the people regarding its effect both in the short and long run. As human population

keeps on increasing, so does pollution. In order to control the pollution, it is essential to limit the

population and adopt simpler lifestyles that will create less pollution in the first place.

I really want to do this topic because pollution is a serious and growing problem throughout

the world. Along with the pollution, the healths of the people are degrading day by day. Many people

as well as animals and plants have to lose their life in an early age. Recently, Global warming and

climate change are the biggest threat of pollution. In this essay, I have planned to discuss about the

term “pollution”, types of pollution, its causes and effects, global warming, climate change and the

steps that we can take in order to control it.
